What is Google Maps API?

In order for the functions and services of Google Maps to be used by software developers and application developers, Google makes these services available with packages called APIs. API (Application Programming Interface) is translated into Turkish as an application programming interface. With the API, users can also use functions and capabilities belonging to Google within their own applications.

It basically collects the capabilities of Google Maps under 3 functions: Maps, Routes and Places. There are separate capabilities and API services under each function. Each service has a different ability. The user decides on the API service to be used in accordance with his needs.

Google grants $200 free monthly usage for the APIs used. For usages over $200, the pricing is determined separately for each API. Users must have a Google account and specify billing details in order to benefit from the service. Pricing in APIs is calculated by the number of queries made within the function. For example, in your routing application, each route calculation is considered a query. The total number of route inquiries you make per month is multiplied by the determined unit fees and reflected on the invoice screen.
