OPTİMUM LOCATION SELECTION – T.C. MINISTRY OF HEALTH

QUESTION:

“Where should I locate Ambulance stations for intervention as soon as possible when there is an emergency?

SOLUTION:

1. Manisa was determined as the sample province in this study covering Turkey.

2. Within the scope of the sample project, 115,000 case positions related to the past years were examined. A machine learning-based model was created that learns the relationship between the case type and location and the demographic and spatial information around it.

3. With the model, the probability of a case on a micro basis within the scope of Manisa province was calculated.

4. The locations where emergency stations will be located were prioritized according to the probability of an incident.

RESULT:

Thanks to this study, the site selection model, which is not only access-oriented, but also based on case estimation, was tested in the province of Manisa. In Manisa, 10% more success was achieved in ambulance access times from stations to incident points.
